🌈 Pride Month Is Almost Here – Celebrate With Us!

 

As June approaches, we’re excited to celebrate Pride with our vibrant community and partners across Boston! Pride is a time to honor our history, embrace our identities, and stand strong in the face of ongoing challenges—and there are so many ways to show up this year.

 

Join us for PIOW’s Pride Celebration on June 5, a joyful evening of connection and community. You’ll also find us at Boston’s Pride Flag Raising at City Hall on June 2nd and the Pride at the City Council event on June 4, alongside community leaders and advocates. Plus, we’re proud to uplift Black Pride events and other community partner gatherings throughout the month.

Annual PIOW Pride Celebration - Next Thursday June 5

Don't miss out on the PIOW annual Pride Celebration happening next Thursday,  June 5 at Hogan Lovells. There are a few spots left, but grab them before the waitlist kicks in! We were thrilled to bring together ERG and DEI leaders from across industries for an evening of thoughtful dialogue, idea-sharing, and community connection.

 

A huge thank you to our incredible speakers, moderators, and attendees for making the event so impactful. The conversations sparked at the summit will continue shaping inclusive workplaces well beyond Pride Month.

City of Boston Flag Raising - June 2

Join Mayor Michelle Wu, the Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement (MOLA), and community partners for a vibrant Pride Kickoff and Flag Raising Ceremony to celebrate the start of Pride Month in Boston! The event will take place on June 2nd from 12:00–1:30 PM at City Hall.

Boston City Councilor At-Large Henry Santana's office has invited the community to join a special Pride Celebration at Boston City Hall on Wednesday, June 4th from 10am to 2pm. PIOW is one of over 30 organizations co-hosting this event, along with a number of our community partners. Check here for more details and join us there.

Boston Pride for the People: Get Involved!


Boston Pride for the People has announced this year’s Pride theme - “Here to Stay” a message of resilience and defiance in the face of increased political attacks on LGBTQIA+ communities and people. As excitement builds for the Pride Parade and Festival on June 14, they’re calling on supporters to volunteer and donate to help make this year’s celebration a success.

We're proud to support our community partner, the Boston Lesbigay Urban Foundation, for this year’s Black Pride celebration—an incredible series of events uplifting the voices and experiences of Black LGBTQ+ individuals.

 

PIOW will be volunteering at the Black Pride Music & Arts Festival on Saturday, July 6, and we’d love to have your ERG join us or you can come solo!

  • Breaktime - We welcome our new Community Partner, Breaktime, whose mission is to break the cycle of homelessness by equipping young adults (associates) with the job and financial security they need to establish housing security.
    • Become a Career Navigator, providing an opportunity for Breaktime associates to interface with a professional in a career that they are themselves interested in and learn more about the professional fields they are looking to enter. 
  • Massachusetts Asian & Pacific Islanders (MAP) For Health - Please join for the Health Equity And Resources for the Trans Community (HEART) Conference on June 21 from 10-6 at Fenway Health. Learn about inclusive care and related resources via workshops, panels, networking, drag performances, and much more! The event is free, but space is limited, so sign up today!
  • Mass Transgender Political Coalition 
    • MTPC is excited to announce the launch of our MA Trans Interfaith Network (MTIN)! MTIN brings together faith leaders across Massachusetts to support the rights, dignity, and lived equity of transgender and nonbinary people through policy advocacy, collaborative strategy, community engagement, and more. First meeting is Monday, June 16th from 11:00am-12:30pm.   • Greater Boston PFLAG and The History Project
    • Join Monday, June 9, 2025, at 7:00 PM ET for a compelling virtual conversation on the origins of Pride and Boston’s vibrant LGBTQ+ movement. In June 1969, the Stonewall Uprisings sparked a national wave of queer resistance. But the story didn’t end in New York. In Boston, students, street organizers, collectives, and community builders created something uniquely powerful: a local movement rooted in protest, survival, and imagination.

    • Join us for our Annual Pride Month LGBTQ+ Job Fair on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 from 3:00 PM–6:00 PM at Suffolk University, 120 Tremont Street, Boston, MA
    • The Chamber is hosting their 1st Annual Golf Outing on Friday, June 27 at Green Hill Golf Course in Worcester. You can choose to golf, or just join for lunch/networking with DJ and Drag Performers. Sounds like a blast!
