As we kick off a new year at Pride in Our Workplace, we’re showcasing opportunities for our community to help shape what comes next. With 2026 marking PIOW’s 20th anniversary, this is a meaningful moment to strengthen our leadership, deepen engagement, and celebrate how far we’ve come together.
We have 3 ways you can get involved and make a difference:
Become a general volunteer and sign up for specific areas of interest.
Whether you’re interested in organizational leadership, hands-on collaboration, or more solo, behind the scenes activities, there are meaningful ways to get involved and make an impact.
Don't forget to keep scrolling for the list of Community Partner announcements. Lot's of interesting programming is coming up!
Consider Applying to the PIOW Board of Directors
If you’re looking to make a deeper impact in 2026, we’re currently seeking mission-driven leaders to join us on the Pride in Our Workplace Board of Directors. Board service is a powerful way to guide our programs, expand partnerships, and support our community. Explore the Board role description and link to self-nominate via the button below. Applications are currently being accepted through Feb 28.
To celebrate PIOW’s 20th anniversary, we’re forming a volunteer planning committee to help design and deliver a fun, community-centered fundraising event later this year. This committee will work alongside PIOW staff and Board members and is open to volunteers and members of our broader community.
Committee members can support the event in a variety of ways, including:
Event Logistics: Venue coordination, timelines, run of show, and day-of support
Program & Experience: Shaping the flow of the event, speakers or performers, and guest experience
Food & Beverage: Menu planning, vendor coordination, and accessibility considerations
Communications & Promotion: Messaging, outreach, social media, and invitations
Creative & Design: Theme development, visuals, décor, and overall atmosphere
Whether you have event experience or simply want to contribute your time and ideas, we’d love to have you involved as we plan a celebration that reflects PIOW’s mission, community, and impact.
We encourage you to sign up by Friday, Feb 6 to join the committee kickoff meeting, but participation is open on an ongoing basis and you’re welcome to join at any point.
If you’re interested in supporting PIOW, but aren’t able to commit to a long-term role, becoming a general volunteer is a great option. General volunteers help with one-off projects, event support, communications, fundraising, and occasional administrative tasks based on interest and availability. It’s a flexible way to stay connected, contribute meaningfully, and support LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion without a significant time commitment. We are grateful for our community partners who push the world forward with care and commitment. They support LGBTQ professionals across sectors and help build spaces where people feel seen.
